August 25th, Creating Miracles With Autism and Son-Rise, Santa Cruz, CA

I was fortunate to become acquainted with Ocean Robbins many years ago as a high school student attending a Youth for Environmental Sanity (YES!) camp in Oregon. Since then I have occasionally been involved with YES! and attended many of his talks.

Ocean’s journey and that of his family is at the center of “the awakening consciousness that wants to be born into this world” (to borrow a phrase from Eckhart Tolle). This is made very clear by the beautiful article published in the Santa Cruz Good Times publication. You can view it here:

A quote from this article:

“I had this thought to myself: if I had known 10 years ago that here I would be, cleaning fecal material off of the window, while my kid was making these babbly, autistic sounds in the tub, how would I have felt? And I thought, wow, I would’ve felt so depressed inside and horrified. But if I had known that I would be cleaning this off the window, with him making those noises, and I would feel at peace, joyous and full of gratitude for life—how would that have felt? It would’ve felt totally incredible.”

If this topic is of interest to you and you’re within a reasonable distance of Santa Cruz, you can attend the August 25th introductory event. Read about it on Ocean’s website,

With love,

The Sacred Awakening Series

In Available Online, posted on February 21, 2010 at 5:59 pm

What would it be like to join 40 of the world’s most respected spiritual leaders to dialogue about the question ~

“How can we live a truly sacred life?”

The Shift Network has put together an astounding collection of top authorities on the subject of Awakening and the expanding of consciousness.

The event was launched on February 18th and featured Gangagi.  I attended the call and all I can say is, wow!  The presence this woman exudes (even through the phone) is palpable.  One of the main takeaways I received from the call was the importance of staying in the place of grace, flow and divine receptivity.   One of the single most important things that impacted her transformation came from her teacher who simply said… “stop looking.”

Stop looking and participate in this series ( and let the wisdom of these teachers fill you!

Oh, and the technology they are using…Maestro Conference, gives you an interactive experience with the teachers.

Be Divine,

Inscendence: The Key to the Great Turning at the Sophia Center in Oakland, California, February 19 -20

A friend of my recently turned me on to Bill Plotkin.  I’ve checked out some of his stuff on-line and he most definitely understands the shift we are all experiencing on the planet.  His vision is pure and his wisdom grounded in the ancient traditions from worlds gone by.

I’m planing on attending the Evening talk on Friday, February 19th at 7:00 p.m.   See you there?

The day long portion on the 20th begins at 9:30 am and runs through 2:30pm with a lunch break from noon to 1 pm.

Thomas Berry has emphasized that, to transform contemporary culture, “what is needed is not transcendence but ‘inscendence,’” the pan-human, psychospiritual descent to the underworld, leading to revelatory vision and an awakening to the numinous powers ever present in the phenomenal, more-than-human world in which we live. We’ll explore a nature-based map of human development, an eight-stage approach to growing whole that prepares the child and adolescent to one day embark upon the initiatory adventure of inscendence, the encounter with soul that ripens people into genuine adults and elders — visionary artisans of cultural change, trailblazers of what Joanna Macy calls the Great Turning of the twenty-first century.

By all means, check this one out!
