Kiesha Crowther “Little Grandmother” on YouTube

Something magical happened today. Well, magical things seem to happen every day, but it’s been a few days since the last very, very magical something: I found out about “Little Grandmother.”

There are many, many teachers around the world these days, and often I simply glance over, make a mental note, and skip by. But as the credentials of this one were, you could say, “verified” by an instructor in my meditation school, so I looked her up.

There are eight segments to the “One With Nature” series here, on YouTube, ten minutes each. Don’t bother with the math: watch the first one, and feel. You may find, as I did, that time suddenly doesn’t matter so much.

If I were to pick one word to describe the experience of hearing and feeling her, I would say “HEART.” But not pleasant, mild, vague heart, rather, mountainous heart; heart that fills you up, totally. Lots of feelings of “linking.”

And finally, really, truly one of the most “awakening” talks I’ve heard. I feel immensely privileged and grateful to have learned of this teacher.

Sacred Awakening Series: Next Wave June 21-26th

In Available Online, posted on June 11, 2010 at 12:44 pm

Ocean Robbins, founder and director of YES! and personal acquaintance, will be one of the speakers in this series. I know from personal experience that the work Ocean and co-YES!’ers do is very powerful: the organization has transformed lives around the world simply by bringing people together and facilitating communication with depth.

Anyhoo, Ocean is talking Monday, June 21st at 5:00 PM pacific (or available recorded afterward), and there are many other people presenting as part of the series who would be interesting to check out. http://sacredawakeningseries.com/

And it’s FREE!!!

The Sacred Awakening Series

In Available Online, posted on February 21, 2010 at 5:59 pm

What would it be like to join 40 of the world’s most respected spiritual leaders to dialogue about the question ~

“How can we live a truly sacred life?”

The Shift Network has put together an astounding collection of top authorities on the subject of Awakening and the expanding of consciousness.

The event was launched on February 18th and featured Gangagi.  I attended the call and all I can say is, wow!  The presence this woman exudes (even through the phone) is palpable.  One of the main takeaways I received from the call was the importance of staying in the place of grace, flow and divine receptivity.   One of the single most important things that impacted her transformation came from her teacher who simply said… “stop looking.”

Stop looking and participate in this series (http://sacredawakeningseries.com/) and let the wisdom of these teachers fill you!

Oh, and the technology they are using…Maestro Conference, gives you an interactive experience with the teachers.

Be Divine,

Integral Awakening – Teleseminar and Webinar

In Available Online, posted on February 3, 2010 at 11:36 am

While I personally have limited exposure to the work of Ken Wilber and the Integral model, I’ve heard great things. 🙂  Also, this seems like a deal to me…since it’s free, goes on for months, and there are many, many speakers on this topic:

“How does the spiritual path need to evolve to serve the evolutionary needs of humanity in the 21st century?”

I think I just might check it out…

Distribute Endangered Species Condoms

In Available Online, posted on January 28, 2010 at 10:18 am

HomeNo, not condoms for animals, silly.

At the heart of the push for “awakening” is a deep desire to, well, survive. Paradoxically, dramatically dropping the birth rate of our species is – “research has shown” – fundamental.

To that end, the Center for Biological Diversity (I’ve heard great things about this organization) has enacted a campaign to Volunteer to Distribute Free Endangered Species Condoms.

A very awakened idea, I’d say.

Lumosity – Fun for your whole brain!

In Available Online, posted on January 27, 2010 at 10:35 am

I’m doing a commercial here for this “Brain Games & Training” online service…because fine tuning brain functioning feels integral (or at least helpful) to awakening.

Plus, I had fun playing the “Speed Match” game yesterday…three times…while at work…*shhhh!*

The New Story, Brian Swimme

The New Story

This has been online for some time, and never ceases to inspire me. It is beautifully rendered–sound, visuals, and prose.  It is 10 segments, and worth keeping bookmarked to watch a piece here and there. (The first segment I find a bit repetitive, but the rest are awesome.)

I like to describe it as ‘beginning with the Big Bang and ending with the Green MBA.’ 😉

If you get something out of it, post your thoughts…

From September 27 – 29 of 2009, The Dalai Lama Center for Peace and Education hosted  His Holiness the Dalai Lama in Vancouver. Also speaking were Bishop Desmond Tutu (from Africa; his daughter attended), Eckhart Tolle, Dr. Wangari Maathai, and Mary Robinson.  The event also included Nobel Laureates Jody Williams, Mairead Maguire, Betty Williams and Murray Gell-Mann.

You can view the Canadian TV recording, clip one of three (or more, can’t quite tell) here: http://watch.ctv.ca/2009-peace-summit/vancouver/2009-peace-summit—vancouver—sunday-september-27th-2009/#clip217356

If you have watched any of these clips, or were lucky enough to be in attendance, I’d love to read about your experience.

Thank you,
